Abstract

1433502 Gas discharge display panels OWENS-ILLINOIS INC 24 April 1973 [20 April 1972] 19432/73 Heading H1D Pilot cells located in the border of a multiple gas discharge display panel are defined by the cross-points of electrodes C common to at least one display cell and a wider electrode B R not common to any display cell. The display cells are defined by the cross-points of row electrodes R and column electrodes C. The pilot cells may extend partially (as shown) or completely around the perimeter of the panel. The invention is applied to a charge storage type panel as described in Specification 1,254,114 having a filling of one or more gases selected from He, Ne, A, Kr and Xe.
