Abstract

1431911 Furnace conveyer rollers NIPPON KOKAN KK 26 June 1973 30417/73 Heading F4B A water cooled roller for a metal strip heating furnace comprises a cylindrical body 2 mounted on an axle 1 and incorporating a helical baffle 3, the water supplied and removed through ports in said axle being directed against the roller surface by said baffle. The said surface is kept at not more than 200‹ C. to inhibit the formation of deposits on the roller.
