Abstract

1431770 Storage battery terminals ELECTRIC POWER STORAGE Ltd 7 Sept 1973 [11 Sept 1972] 42097/72 Heading H1B In an electric storage battery having a thermoplastic case wherein a terminal 10, 11 extends through a hole in a side wall 21, the terminal is moulded into annular bush 20 of thermoplastic material, the bush is joined to the wall of the hole by sonic welding and the terminal is connected to a plate strap 14. As shown the terminal comprises brass insert 10 having an internal screw thread and a lead sleeve 11 cast about it and provided with ribs and grooves. Bush 20 and the casing may be polypropylene.
