Abstract

1484835 Terminal leads through for, e.g. lead-acid batteries VARTA BATTERIE AG 24 March 1976 [24 March 1975] 11870/76 Heading H1B [Also in Division H2] A lead bush 2 for a terminal post 5 of, e.g. a lead-acid battery, has a synthetic resin (polypropylene, polyethylene or polystyrene) outer part 3 at least where it passes through the cover 1 or case of the battery and an inner part 4 near the inner end of the bush. The post and the bush are subsequently welded together, and the post 3 is welded to the cover. A cable connection 6 may be welded to the post. The whole may be covered with an anticorrosion coating of epoxy or polyurethane resin.
