Abstract

1431725 Cleaning pads ALLSTAR VERBRAUCHSGUTER GmbH & CO KG 28 Dec 1973 [28 Dec 1972] 59993/73 Heading A4F [Also in Division B4] A brush comprises a brush plate 2 with a brushing surface 3 of inclined bristles rotatably mounted on a brush back 1, these two parts 2, 1 being connected for relative rotation by interengaging concentric sleeves 4, 7 projecting inwardly from the parts 2, 1, the sleeves 4, 7 having co-operating detents 5, 8, a ring 9 provided on the inner side of plate 2 surrounding the sleeves 4, 7 at a spacing and including diametrically opposite axial ribs (10) engaged in axial grooves 12 in a sleeve 11 extending from the inner side of back 1, the ribs and grooves holding the plate 2 in one or another of two selectable positions of rotation relative to the back 1, the ribs being releasable from the grooves on manual turning of one of the parts relative to the other. Sleeve 7 comprises resilient segment shaped fingers having hooks 8 engaged in a continuous groove 5 in sleeve 4. Plate 2 comprises a base-plate 2a and a frame 2b, ring 9 being secured to frame 2b at two opposed arcuate sections. Ring 9 has a circular cross-section and sleeve 11 has an elliptical crosssection. Ribs (10) are of triangular or semicircular cross-section, and grooves 12 taper outwardly. The parts 1, 2 comprise plastics.
