Abstract

1431473 Overhead door operation HILLALDAM COBURN Ltd 11 Sept 1974 [13 Sept 1973] 43148/73 Heading E2M In a counter-balance means for a sectional overhead door 1, a spring-biased shaft 13 is provided with cable pulleys 15 around which pass cables 17, extending downwardly from each cable pulley 15, to be attached to the lower edges of the door by means of brackets 19. Each cable 17 is slidably guided in a guide sleeve 45 and a stop 29 on each cable 17 limits the sliding movement of the cable. Spring means 43 biases the stop 29 away from the guide sleeve 45. The shaft 13 is adapted to be rotated against the biassing action of springs 25 by means of a hand chain 23 and a chain wheel 21.
