Abstract

1431382 Chains COAL INDUSTRY (PATENTS) Ltd 21 May 1974 [18 June 1973] 28816/73 Heading F2Q A chain link for protecting a supply cable or hose 12, 13 of mining machinery comprises a body 1 of stifliy resilient plastics material having two generally U-shaped formations 2, 3 having limbs 4, 5 and a common base 6, the ends of the limbs 4, 5 being provided with inwardly directed projections 15, 16 which are adapted to retain the cable or hose 12, 13. The base 6 has a through recess for accommodating a connecting member 7 which is retained by a pin 14. In modifications, the channel for accommodating a cable or hose is substantially square. Reference has been directed by the Comptroller to Specification 1,089,101.
