Abstract

1,241,932. Chain couplings. FELCO HOIST Ltd. 14 May, 1970 [7 July, 1969], No. 34077/69. Heading F2Q. A joining link for chains comprises two identical U-shaped parts 2, 3, each of which includes a half-round base 4 and two parallel limbs having transversely toothed faces, the limb of one part when engaged by its teeth to a limb of the other part together making up with such other limb a cross-section equal to the cross-section of the bases of the other parts, and pins 13 engaging in holes 11 to secure the parts 2, 3 together. The teeth are formed by recesses having sloping flanks 10. The parts 2, 3 are preferably of plastics material and the pins 13 of nylon. The pins 13 may be moulded integrally with the parts 2, 3.
