Abstract

1430520 Shuttleless looms LINDAUER DORNIER GmbH 30 Sept 1974 [20 Oct 1973] 42365/74 Heading D1E Upon weft breakage the loom is stopped and the broken weft automatically removed from the shed. At the entry side of the shed the broken weft 8a is clamped (by jaws 22 and blown out of the shed and into a container 21 by a nozzle 23. The nozzle 23 may have a side weft entry and be pivotal to place it around the weft or the weft may be placed in the side opening by a pivoted member (24), (Fig. 3, not shown). At the exit side of the shed a gripper shuttle 4 with a broken weft trail 8b to a weft extraction position 4' where its gripper 18 is opened by a member 19 and the trail 8b is blown into a container 21 by a nozzle 20. The weft stop motion and welt extraction components are operated from the control mechanism of the loom.
