Abstract

143,049. Riley, F. G. May 27, 1919. Gaseous-fuel furnaces.-In a reversible regenerative glass-melting furnace, the side walls of the glass tank, above the level of the surface of the molten glass, are formed of burner blocks B provided with horizontal gas ports G and inclined air ports A in communication with the regenerators. The blocks are provided with projections and recesses at B<1>, and also with projectors to support the air and gas flues.
