1430430 Regulating ink supply MASCHINENFABRIK AUGSBURG - NURNBERG AG 22 May 1973 [26 May 1972] 24482/73 Heading B6C In an inking unit comprising a fountain roller 2, a roller 3 to convey ink from the fountain roller 2 to a transfer roller 4 which transfers the ink to a distributer roller 5, the roller 3 is supported by eccentric journals 15 which are linked by a lever 16 to the nut 19 of a screw adjusting rod 22 locked to fixed sleeve 23. Thus the gap between rollers 2 and 3 can be adjusted whilst the unit is in operation. A graduated scale 31 is provided on rod 22 co-operating with a pointer 32 on the sleeve to show the separation of rollers 2 and 3.
