Abstract

1428417 Valves C MANOS 11 May 1973 [12 May 1972 12 Jan 1973] 22589/73 Heading F2V The closure member of a rotatable cock stop comprises a two-part hollow cylindrical body 1 with opposed openings, the division into two parts being through the openings. The two parts are located in a cylindrical chamber in the body 12 of the valve, held against the walls of the chamber by spring means disposed between the two parts, and connected by a bifurcated shaft 5 to a handle. The spring means may comprise helical spring (11), Fig. 3 (not shown), disposed in holes (10) in the two parts or may be spring rings 9 fitted into grooves 8 in the two parts.
