Abstract

1427623 Suspending curtains SWISH PRODUCTS Ltd 16 Jan 1974 [30 Jan 1973] 4534/73 Heading A4B A curtain rail comprises a first part 19 which is substantially semi-tubular and includes formations 21-24 which resiliently grip a second rail part 11 provided with a first T-section slot 13 to slidably receive the heads 26 of curtain runners 15 and a second T-section slot 14 to receive and grip the resilient head 16 of wall mountable support brackets 17. Two rail sections may be connected end to end by inner and outer part-cylindrical elements joined at their mid length by a circumferential web against which the ends of adjacent sections bear. The runner carries an arcuate part 25 simulating a curtain ring and pivotally supports an arm 29 with an eye 33 to receive a curtain hook. The runner includes a cylindrical neck 27 which engages with the mouth of the slot 13 to prevent tilting of the runner about a horizontal axis transverse to the rail.
