[Class 133] [Also in Group XIV] In a wardrobe case of the type in which garments on hangers 6 may be supported in folded condition on a frame 11, adapted to engage with supports 21 in the upper part of the case and to be swung into and out of it about a horizontal axis, the frame is also adapted to be turned about, and to be slid in the direction of a longitudinal axis at right angles to the horizontal axis to avoid undue strain being imposed on the frame or its connections with the casing. In the form shown in Fig. 1, the frame 11, formed of tubular sections or from a single wire or rod, is of inverted triangular shape with a central tube 13 telescopically connected with a rod 14 connected by a ball joint 14a to a member 15a pivoted to a horizontal fixed spindle 17. The frame is formed with inverted triangular eyes 20 for attaching to the supports 21. The spindle may be pivoted in a pillar 16 and its ends fixed in brackets 18 or bifurcated and splayed to secure them to the side walls. Alternatively, a short spindle may be provided and the pillar 16 held firmly by lateral struts or a single long strut. A rear strut may also be provided. In modifications, the frame has a feather connection with the rod or the ball joint is dispensed with and the rod 14 is directly pivoted to the pillar. In a second form, Fig. 5, a U-shaped frame 26 is slidable along a reverse U-shaped companion part 27 mounted to swivel about a stem 28 on a loop 30 connected to a fixed loop 31. The case may have hooks or eyes for hanging it on a wall.
