142,638. Belton, F. W. J. April 15, 1919. Air-heating furnaces.- An air-heater comprises sections placed side by side as well as upon one another, the whole being heated by gas burners g. Each section comprises a portion of a vertical heating-duct h with a portion of two air-heating channels i on each side of the gas duct. Superposed sections bed upon the projecting parts k. Horizontal ribs j baffle the ascending heating- gases. End sections (not shown) act as headers and lead the air to be heated back and forth through the horizontal channels i to the exit at the bottom of the apparatus.
