Abstract

1426032 Spinning machines; drives ELITEX-ZAVODY TEXTILNIHO STROJIRENSTVI GENERALNI REDITELSTVI 26 July 1973 [14 Aug 1972] 35765/73 Heading DID [Also in Division H2] An open-end spinning machine is driven by a pole-change electric motor, and starting current is fed to the motor via a limiting device which is eventually switched off by a timing device. To start four-pole asynchronous motor 1 current is switched via switching unit 2 from current limiter 7 to four poles of the motor. Timer 9 by-passes limiter 7 after a predetermined time, and the motor runs at half speed, this state being indicated by bulb 10. After yarn-piecing, current is switched to two poles of the motor, which then runs at full speed. Bulbs 61 indicates the motor speed. A synchronous motor may be used. The limiter 7 may be formed by chokes, a resistor or a power thermistor.
