Giffard injectors; regulating action.-In an exhaust steam injector having a main steam inlet a, water cone b, and supplementary steam inlet c, an additional cone h is placed between the cone b and the combining-cone d, and communicates with a closed vacuum chamber i which communicates with the gap j between the cones h, d. The combining-cone has a renewable portion g. A live-steam inlet k is provided, and also a hanging valve m to cut off the exhaust-steam inlet when the exhaust fails.
