1425399 Crank-cases, cylinders, valve gear A CELLI 26 March 1973 [3 May 1972] 14429/73 Heading F1B In an I.C. engine in which a base 1, Fig. 2, the cylinders 18, Fig. 1, the valve gear case 3 and the main bearing supports 8 are shaped for light alloy gravity or pressure casting, the base has an internal trapezoidal form with cross walls which receive cylinders in Vee formation and crank shaft support discs 9 are each connected to the base and have a circular shape divided into two halves. Each support disc 9 is positioned for connection with lubricating ducts (not shown) by engaging a notch 16 with a washer 17. Coolant is fed from passage 32 into a gap 31.
