Abstract
1425162 Spraying booms CLEANACRES Ltd 4 June 1973 [3 March 1972] 10164/72 Heading A1D A spray boom assembly consists of spray booms universally jointed to a transverse frame 10, 11, 12 so that a counter weight 22 on an arm 21 pivotally mounted on the frame varies the disposition of the booms as the vehicle conveying the boom goes over ground which is uneven. The transverse frame is spring mounted by rods 37 and springs 36 and 39 onto a framework consisting of side members 35 and transverse components 32, 33 and 34 with slots for attachment to a tractor. Spray booms are attached to sleeves 17 pivotally mounted on arms 15. The arms are hinged at 16 to the lower frame member 12 and pivotal movement of booms is limited by guides 20. Sleeves 27 biased by springs 28 over the top end of the arm 15 are attached to a link 26 operated by the counter weight arm 21. Spray booms have channel-section elements 14 which house the spray line and booms consist of parts 41 and 42 pivotally interconnected by a pin 44 to permit folding of the booms for transport.
