Abstract

142,403. Brown, J. H., and Mellor, G. A. Nov. 3, 1919. Regulating.-A valve B' for controlling the flow of liquid fuel from a pipe A<1> towards a vaporizer has two adjustments, coarse and fine, relatively to its actuating-lever G. The valve is held away from its seat by a spring B<2> against a stop E which screws at D' into the spindle C; the stop has a milled head D and is held by a spring catch F; this forms the coarse adjustment. The spindle C is screwed in and out of the casing by a lever H which is rigidly attached to it, and is also connected to the free lever G by means of a screw K and compression spring K<1>, which form the fine adjustment. The lever G is connected by a link J to the mechanism that adjusts the air valve.
