Abstract

1423764 Resistors NIPPONDENSO CO Ltd and TOYOTA CHUO KENKYUSHO KK 30 Oct 1973 [17 Nov 1972] 50396/73 Heading C1M Resistors for spark plugs consist of a glass and a resistive component the latter comprising by weight aluminium phosphate 4 to 20%, tin oxide 72 to 95%, and antimony oxide 0À8 to 9À6%. The glass is preferably borosilicate glass and is in an amount of 10 to 60% of the total weight of the resistors. The antimony oxide may be Sb 2 O 2 or Sb 2 O 4 and the tin oxide SnO or SnO 2 . The resistor is produced by mixing the tin and antimony oxide and heating to cause them to react together. Aluminium phosphate is then added and the mixture further heated. Glass and a binder such as polyvinyl alcohol is then added.
