1422649 Loading dock bridging ramp K ALTEN 1 March 1973 [2 March 1972] 10106/73 Heading B8E A loading dock bridging ramp plate 1 is pivoted at 4 and is raisable from an inoperative position lowered into a recess 3 by piston cylinder device 9 while an extension 6 is mounted on a carriage 5 running in the hollow plate 1 and is extended and contracted by a double acting piston cylinder device 8. The devices 8, 9 are operated by a common pressure medium source and are connected thereto by common conduit means so controlled by push button operated valves that the device 9 is not effective to raise the plate 1 until the device 8 has withdrawn the extension 6. When a limit switch has stopped the plate 1 in its uppermost position the device 8 can be operated by a push button to extend the port 6 after which the plate 1 can fall under gravity until the extension 6 rests on platform 7.
