Abstract

1422334 Pressurized dispensing containers BESPAK INDUSTRIES Ltd and W E WARREN 15 March 1973 [21 March 1972] 13200/72 Heading F1R A pressurized dispensing container has an actuator 17 which, when depressed to open a valve 15, is retained in the depressed position by engagement of a skirt portion 21 thereof with an annular bead formed by the joint between the container body and a valve mounting cup 13. The skirt portion may have internal serrations 22. To prevent inadvertent depression of the actuator or removal thereof, a safety device (24), Figs. 2 and 3 (not shown), may be provided, the safety device comprising a generally U-shaped clip which passes through slots (25) in the actuator and engages the mounting cup 13. Replacement of the clip (24) after removal is not possible without the use of a special tool.
