Abstract
1422145 Heat-developable photographic material preparation KODAK Ltd 3 May 1973 [18 May 1972] 23332/72 Heading G2C A radiation-sensitive, heat-developable photographic material is prepared by forming a coating composition comprising a radiation-sensitive compound capable of forming catalytic centres on exposure to actinic radiation, a light-insensitive reducible metal compound, a reducing agent therefor, the thermally induced reaction of the metal compound and the reducing agent being catalyzed by catalytic centres formed by exposure of the radiation-sensitive compound, a binder and a liquid comprising at least 80% by volume of a non-flammable, volatile halogenated hydrocarbon, coating a layer of the composition on to a photographic support and drying the layer. The halogenated hydrocarbon may be a chlorinated hydrocarbon e.g. dichloromethane, 1, 1, 1- trichloroethane or trichloroethylene, or a fluorinated-chlorinated hydrocarbon e.g. trichlorotrifluoroethane.
