Abstract
1422110 Locks ELLIS (COLCHESTER) Ltd 10 Jan 1973 [14 Oct 1971] 47917/71 Heading E2A In a butt lock, i.e. a lock in which two blocks 31, 32 can be held against relative transverse movement by a bolt when the bolt is extended to engage in a bore in each block, the bolt carries an external, freely rotatable roller 45 at the part of the length thereof which, when holding the blocks against transverse movement, extends between the blocks. As shown, the bolt head is provided with projections 48 to facilitate turning of the bolt by a socket key and is surrounded by a freely rotatable collar 49. The bolt is screwed into the bores 41, 42.
