1421724 Protecting fuel injection nozzles from combustion gases BRYCE BERGER Ltd 26 Jan 1973 [4 Feb 1972] .5272/72 Heading F1B In an I.C. engine fuel injection nozzle, a nozzle head 11, which in use is exposed to the combustion gases, has a metal coating on its head, the coating being resistant to sulphur based acid attack and is composed of one or metals from the group consisting of gold, rhodium, ruthenuim, palladium, tantalum, rhenium, iridium and platinum. The coating may be applied by electro-plating.
