Abstract

142,038. Stulemeyer, C. L. Nov. 5, 1919. Apparatus for making filaments.-The spinning jets or nozzles 3, or holders 1 therefor, of apparatus for the manufacture of artificial silk from viscose, &c., are made of molybdenum. The perforated plate 3 constituting the nozzle may be secured to its holder by couplings 6, 7, Fig. 1, also of molybdenum; and the construction may be simplified by forming the part 7 integral with the holder, as shown in Fig. 3, or the plate 3 may be.integral with the holder 1, as shown in Fig. 5.
