Abstract

1420222 Load handling pallet S KURODA 15 Dec 1972 58171/72 Heading B8H A load handling pallet comprises a moulded plastics upper deck 2 with particles of rubber, timber or plastics embedded therein to increase the frictional characteristics of the load bearing surface thereof. The underside of the deck has projections (5), Fig. 8 (not shown), or recesses, Fig. 9 (not shown), which engage the lateral faces of spacers 3, to which a further deck 2, or individual feet (4), Fig. 3 (not shown), or elongate members (4), Fig. 2 (not shown), are secured. The spacers may have a square or circular cross-section with their axes perpendicular to the deck or they may be elongate and of rectangular or channel cross-section with their axes parallel to the deck. The parts of the pallet may be held together by bolts or adhesive and the decks may be reinforced by wire, netting or glass fibres.
