Abstract

1419859 Hose end fittings SIEMENSELECTROGERATE GmbH BERLIN & MUNCHEN 20 Dec 1973 [22 Dec 1972] 59041/73 Heading F2G A fitting for the end of a vacuum cleaner hose 1 having an internal helically wound wire forming ridges 2, comprises a resilient sleeve 3 of plastics, &c. with a slit 4 extending axially from one end towards the other, the inner surface of the sleeve having helical ridges 4 to engage the ridges of the hose. The sleeve 3 is sprung on to the end of the hose 2, and a locking collar 5 is pressed on to the sleeve to retain the latter, a peripheral lip 7 around the sleeve latching into a groove 6 extending inside the collar. A vacuum hose connector 8 is pivotally attached to the collar 7 by a snap ring 9 and a sealing ring 10.
