Abstract

<PICT:0710037/IV (a)/1> <PICT:0710037/IV (a)/2> <PICT:0710037/IV (a)/3> A tapered sleeve 3, Fig. 1, of polyamide material has its larger end moulded about the beaded inturned edge 2b of a washer 2 secured in use against a wall or inserted as a press fit into a housing. The retaining member may be cup-shaped and is provided with a similar inturned beaded edge. In Fig. 4 the retaining ring 2 is cylindrical and the sleeve 3 has corrugations B and C for greater flexibility. Fig. 5 shows on a larger scale the form of the lip A.
