1418596 Injection moulding apparatus SCHLOEMANN-SIEMAG AG 20 Feb 1974 [24 Feb 1973] 7709/74 Heading B5A Injection moulding apparatus comprises material feeding means (not shown) connected through a valve (not shown) with a first injection cylinder 1 provided with an outlet 8 connected by a hot channel distributor 27 to at least two valve-controlled outlet orifices 28 ... 30, and at least one further injection cylinder 20 provided with an opening in communication with the the outlet 8 and controlled by a valve 13. In the example shown, a screw plasticizer feeds moulding material through a non-return valve and a stub 2 to the cylinder 1 thereby pushing an injection piston 4 rearwardly. When the postion 4 reaches a predetermined position the valve 13 is opened by a piston-cylinder unit 19 and injection cylinder 20 is filled. When cylinder 20 is full, valve 13 is closed and a valve 14 is opened, whereby a third cylinder 21 is filled. Outlet 29 is now opened and material in cylinder 1 injected into mould cavity 33. Outlet 29 is then closed and outlet 28 and valve 13 opened. Material in cylinder 20 is injected into mould cavity 32. Valve 13 and outlet 28 are then closed, valve 14 and outlet 30 opened and mould cavity 34 is filled from injection cylinder 21.
