1417778 Joint making packing HEPWORTH PLASTICS Ltd 7 April 1973 16784/73 Heading F2B A pipe 8 is sealed into an opening in a vessel, e.g. an inspection chamber or manhole, by a ring which comprises a resilient grommet 1 with a convergent portion 3 extending in one axial direction. A groove 2 around the grommet may be engaged with the wall 6 of the vessel prior to insertion of the pipe 8 through the portion 3.
