Abstract

1337540 Coupling pipes to plates INTERPACE CORP 11 Oct 1972 46956/72 Heading F2G A pipe 27 is sealed in an oversize hole 24 in the concrete wall of a manhole housing by means of a resilient sleeve 26, having a flange 35 embedded in the concrete. Alternatively, a beaded flange (37, Fig. 5, not shown) is sealed against the exterior of the housing by means of a rigid annulus (38) bolted thereto. The resilient sleeve may be of neoprene or ethylene propylene rubber and is sealed to the pipe by means of a stainless steel strap 28.
