Abstract
1416178 Improving stability of damaged ships KAWASAKI JUKOGYO KK 8 Nov 1972 [13 Nov 1971] 51577/72 Headings B7M and B7S In a ship having wing tanks on each side of the ship, liquid-tight trunk compartments such as ST 2 extend respectively downwardly from near the level of the full-load waterline and respectively extend horizontally adjacent transverse bulkheads such as B 3 in the holds to communicate with the corresponding wing tank compartment on the other side of the ship. Transversely aligned pairs of the wing tanks are divided into the wing tank compartments by partitioning bulkheads such as 4P, 4S which are displaced longitudinally from the transverse bulkheads such as B 3 in the holds.
