Abstract

1415906 Making bags BYLAND & CIE AG 16 March 1973 12858/73 Heading B5D [Also in Divisions B8 and A4] In a method of making a bag which can be transformed into a bag of greater depth (see Division B8), the overlying layers of a longitudinally folded web 2 of plastic foils are welded and perforated along lines 5 and 6 respectively, and spaced strips 7 of separating lacquer are applied to the exposed surface of one of the layers, the web 2 is then folded about a fold 9 and a flap portion which extends beyond the weld 5 is welded to said one layer of the web along a line 10. Lateral welds 12 in the regions of the strips 7 complete the bags which are separated by cutting along lines 13.
