Abstract
141,435. Joly, V. Jan. 15, 1919. Sparking-plugs.-The insulator is in two parts, the lower part b seating on a soft-metal ring d which forms a gas-tight joint. The central electrode c is screwed into a nut j held in a recess in the upper part b<1> of the insulator. Asbestos or other plastic packing c is provided between the two parts of the electrode. The outer electrode is formed by a metal cap n held between the plug casing and the ring d. The insulation is secured by turning over the edge of the body a or by means of a nut.
