Abstract

129,256. Bour, L. M. J. S. June 29, 1918, [Convention date]. Sparking-plugs.-The central electrode and the insulator each consist of two portions, the two parts of the insulator having adjacent recesses containing a head or flange on the inner portion c of the electrode, such flange having an upstanding non-circular projection engaging a corresponding recess in a nut d threaded on the upper part e of the electrode. A portion of the outer end of the member e is not threaded and acts as an abutment for a nut g, the rotation of which first presses the flange on the inner part of the electrode on its seat and then causes the nut d to rise against its seat in the outer part of the insulation. A locking-nut g<1> is provided. The terminal f is formed by cutting the casing and forcing in the end portion, as shown in Fig. 2.
