Abstract

141,419. Cockburns, Ltd., Cockburn, D., and MacNicoll, D. Jan. 13, 1919. Addition to 110,096. Closure members, double-beat.-A double-beat valve of the kind described in the parent Specification and in Specification 120,845, in which one of the valve elements is carried by a diaphragm imprisoned in a cell, is arranged to have the outlet between the beats. The upper beat 2 carried by the diaphragm 1 carries a covering-member 9 fitted with a sleeve 5 spaced away from the spindle 4. The spindle is fitted with a nut 7 adapted, when split-pins 6, 8 are removed, to bear against the sleeve 5 when this member has been pressed against the valve member for grinding purposes.
