1413306 Fuel elements BABCOCK & WILCOX CO 30 Nov 1972 [13 Dec 1971] 17305/75 Divided out of 1413305 Heading G6C The subject-matter is identical to that of Specification 1,413,305, but the claims are concerned with a grid plate 46 for use in constructing a cellular grid structure for a nuclear fuel element. Transverse slits 51 terminate in cut-outs 52, and fuel rod locating detents 53 are provided. Sloping surfaces 57, 60, 61, 62 join the transverse and longitudinal edges 47, 50 and 55, 56, such surfaces having longitudinal extents at least equal to the extent of protrusion of detents 53.
