Abstract

1412580 Child's seat and push carriage VICREM ENG Ltd 23 Oct 1972 [23 July 1971 and 22 Nov 1971] 34772/71 and 54204/71 Heading B7B [Also in Division A4] A child's vehicle seat 1 is releasably secured to a wheeled carriage to form a push chair by supporting the base frame of the seat on mountings formed on the frame of the carriage. The mountings may take the form of grooved blocks 104, 105 in which the base frame is releasably secured by spring biassed levers 109 pivoted to the blocks and operated by a foot bar 108. In the second embodiment the mountings take the form of L-shaped brackets and the seat is detachably secured to the wheeled carriage by two rings 13 each engaging the upper end of an inverted U-shaped frame 4 on the carriage and provided with opposed arcuate parts 18, 14 which are movable into engagement with the upright frame 21 of the seat and the handle 18 of the carriage to hold the seat on the carriage. Disengagement of the arcuate parts is effected by rotation of a handle 31 pivoted on the cross bar of the frame 4 and connected through links 9, 15 to the rings. The seat of this embodiment is also movable from an upright to a reclined position about a pivot connecting the upper end of the upright frame 21 with the back frame 24, by connecting the lower end of the back frame to the upright frame by a two part linkage 29, S.
