Abstract

1412334 Ventilation apparatus SOC D'ETUDES ET DE RECHERCHES DE VENTILATION ET D'AERAULIQUE 22 Feb 1973 [25 Feb 1972] 8785/73 Heading F4V A ventilation control system maintains constant the total amount of air fed to or withdrawn from a number of rooms and comprises a number of chambers 30 each having an air duct 23 for connection to a ventilation opening 26 in one of the rooms and a common chamber 28 having an air supply or extraction duct, not shown and communicating with each of the chambers by way of openings 29 some of which are closable by a closure 35 the arrangement being such that the sum of the passage areas of the closable openings remains substantially constant. The closure consists of a flexible band of resilient material which can be driven by a motor between the positions shown, the motor being controlled by limit switches. In another form (Fig. 4, not shown) the closure is a pivoted flap driven to close openings in one or other of the flat, parallel side walls of the mixing chamber.
