Abstract

1411950 Adjustable rests; inflatable pads P E PETTERSSON 1 Oct 1972 15734/72 Heading A4J and A4M An adjustable back or foot rest for a bed comprises two pivotally inter-connected U-shaped frames 10, 11 between which an inflatable pad 4 connected to an air pump or compressed air supply via a control valve is positioned. Each frame has a rigid metal plate connected between the limbs thereof, the pad being connected to the plate 14 of the lower frame 11 by fastening strips 20, 21 extending around the plate and hooks 22 engaging one edge of the plate and freely supporting the plate 13 of the upper frame 10.
