Abstract

The remedial apparatus for correcting the spine, consists of an upper frame which is placed on the floor. It has arm supports a foot support, and a sliding carriage to support the head of the patient. The upper frame has a sloping board with sets of holes in it so that the arm supports can be aligned as required. The sliding carriage has a handle which operates a system of levers when pushed inwards, so as to raise the fore-head supporting blocks. An adjusting screw is used to advance or retract the assembly of levers and forehead supports to suit the patient. An acoustic signal or a lamp can indicate the preferred limit of adjustment.
