721,136. Securing bed clothes. SCHULZ, H. A. O. Sept. 14, 1953, No. 25291/53. Class 52 (2). In beds in which the bedstead is adapted to be upturned into a cupboard or recess when out of use the means adopted for securing the mattress to the bed frame comprises a number of spaced straps 3 the ends of which are attached to the bedstead frame and are adapted to pass through loops 5 arranged on the underside of the mattress 1. Similar loops 5 may be provided on the top side of the mattress for use when the mattress has to be turned over on the bed frame. In addition an end support for the mattress 1 may comprise a bar 7 having its turned-down ends supported on springs. The bar may be part of the bed foot. The loops 5 are arranged on the mattress inwardly of the edges so that the bed clothes 2 may be tucked under the mattress.
