Abstract

1410578 Electric couplings HEGO ELECTRIC GmbH 18 Feb 1974 7272/74 Heading H2E A connector for making a connection with an earthed support rail or bar having outwardly directed edge regions comprises a conductive body 2 having a hook 11 and a retaining member 3 movable by a clamping screw 13 for engaging the edge regions 9, 10 respectively. Movement of the screw 13 allows release from or attachment to the rail 7. The body is T-shaped with projecting fingers 15 on which are mounted terminals (Fig. 2, not shown) for connecting the connector to wires (17). The connector has an insulating housing 1 of two half-shells fastened together around the body and retaining member. In Figs. 3 and 4 (not shown) the retaining member is of sheet metal folded to form two parallel portions and a web and is pivotally mounted, being provided with a nut (4) which is engaged by the screw.
