Abstract

1410466 Material handling system J WAIDELE 15 Feb 1974 7016/74 Heading B8E Apparatus for laying material in and removing material from tanks A-D such as for leaching copper ore comprises a bridge 10 which supplies ore to be laid in longitudinal rows and a discharge bridge 11 having a dredging trolley 12 movable along it and mounting dredging buckets which deliver the material on to a conveyer 13 for conveying to a discharge conveyer 14. The bridges run on rails at the side of the tanks and their drives receive electricity from pick up rails 18. The discharge bridge 11 is lower than the supply bridge 10 and can pass under it as necessary when the trolly 12 is run on to a turntable 15 having corresponding trolly support rails 21 and in turn movable along the tanks on rails. After the trolly is on and fixed on the turntable 15 it is turned to allow the bridge 10 to pass.
