Abstract
140,947. Twiss, G. V. July 2, 1919. Bolts comprising a screw-threaded loop 1 with legs 2 entering recesses in a washer and engaged by a nut 5, have a second washer 3, and means are provided for positioning the washer 3 on the bolt so that the space between the washer and the loop 1 shall be greater than the connexion secured therein. Fig. 7 shows a bolt 1 with lugs 9 to position the washer 3 clear of the eye 12. In Fig. 6 a grummet 8 is held by the loop 1, the washer 3 having projections 3<1>, Fig. 3, which engage with the loop to position the washers.
