1408576 Phenolic resin friction composition UEDASA CHUZOSHO CO Ltd 23 Dec 1972 59574/72 Heading C3R [Also in Division B7] A shoe for engagement with a wheel tread of a railway vehicle to increase wheel adhesion is composed of a mixture of (by weight) 65% pulverized manganese steel (30 to 200 mesh), 10% polyethylene, 5% asbestos and 20% phenolic resin mixed under agitation and shaped under heat (130‹ C.) and pressure (150 kg./cm.<SP>2</SP>).
