Abstract

1408355 Baby jumper JOLLY JUMPER PRODUCTS OF AMERICA Ltd 30 Oct 1973 [31 Jan 1973] 50483/73 Heading A6M A baby exerciser includes a harness 46 which is suspended from a horizontally extending elastic member 28 by a hanger 32 and spacer bar 44 which can rotate about a vertical axis. As described the elastic member 28 consists of an elastic cord having a lug 30 at each end, the lugs 30 being pivoted to a frame 12 by bolts 20. The frame 12 consists of two U-shaped members 16 joined together by bolts 20 and brace plates 26, and four legs 22 detachably mounted on the frames 16 by spring loaded catches 24. A swivel connector 34 is mounted on the elastic cord 28 and includes an eyelet 36 which can slide along cord 28 and a self locking hook member 38. A harness 46 is connected to the swivel connector 34 by means of cords 48, spacer bar 44, cords 42 and a chain 40. In use a child may bounce up and down in direction of arrow A and may turn about the vertical axis in direction of arrow B. In a modification (not shown) the elastic cord 28 may be replaced by a coil spring.
