Abstract

1510312 Foldable pushchairs ROYALE BABY CARRIAGES Ltd 12 Sept 1975 [25 Sept 1974] 41709/74 Addition to 1439942 Heading B7B A foldable carriage of the kind described in Patent Specification 1,439,942 has a hood or canopy mounted on the foldable structure of the carriage. As shown in Fig. 2 the hood comprises a pair of bars 8 each pivoted to carriage frame members 9 with one end of each pair being releasably secured by a spring clip 10 to the respective frame member 9. The bars 8 are received in edge pockets of the canopy, the rear of which has elastic connectors 11 which engage studs on respective carriage frame members 4. Also, press studs 12 hold the sides of the canopy in position. To collapse the canopy, the securing means 10 are disengaged and the bars 8 pivoted to lie parallel to the frame members 4. A rigid bar (not shown) connects the upper ends of the bars 8. The carriage also includes an apron 13, Fig. 5, releasably secured to bars 8, frame members 9 and to front struts (6) Fig. 1 (not shown).
